Traffic Operation Update – Whitworth, Village & Trading Estate |

Officers from the Manchester City Centre Neighbourhood team carried out a traffic operation across Whitworth, Manchester Village and the Trading Estate after concerns were raised by local residents and businesses about unsafe driving in the area. Throughout the deployment, 20 vehicles were stopped and officers spoke with drivers about road safety, awareness and the impact dangerous driving has on the community. 13 Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) issued to drivers for a range of offences, including: Two vehicles were also seized during the operation. One was taken off the road following a Section 59 warning for anti‑social driving, and another was seized under Section 165 after the driver was found to have no insurance. Removing uninsured and irresponsible drivers helps protect everyone who lives, works or travels through Manchester City Centre. This operation is part of our ongoing commitment to improving road safety and responding to the issues you tell us matter most.
